NOCTEX - Permeance

I had stumbled across fashion label NOCTEX back in October, lost track of it, and then found it again and I am SO GLAD I DID! Designer and owner Negin Izad of Vancouver makes basics that everyone could use in their wardrobe. Lots of black, easy to wear fabrics and details that take these basics up a notch. Her latest collection (that launched just a couple of days ago) rocks.

PERMEANCE FW/14
Permeance is the scientific measurement to which a material admits a flow of energy, and is the direct opposite of reluctance. It is commonly represented by a capital lambda Λ.The concept of permeance in this collection is linked with the mindset that nothing remains the same, and the only constant is change; movement, growth and progression. Fall/Winter 2014 also embraces a mix of unisex looks, tracing back to times and cultures that did not define gender with cloth, and mirroring a modern image of it.

Negin has also done collaborations with 2 awesome ladies. First there is Laura of Hunter Gatherer (Chicago)...

Then with knitter extraordinaire Maude Nibelungen from Montreal...

I really love these - especially the dress in the first image. Great things.

I discovered this label thanks to your blog, and actually brought the first two dresses to the attention of a friend in Canada recently:). There is nothing here that I wouldn't want I try.

I think I need that first dress - despite me not being much of a dress wearer. Because it would look so amazing with a couple of pairs of my Guidi boots.

Kudos Deborah for spreading the Canadian love!
