murale is the devil

For those of you who don't know Murale, it's essentially another (Canadian) version of Sephora. And every time I go in there I'm like a kid in a candy store. Cosmetics mesmerize me. I went in looking for a new tube of my tinted moisturizer from Nars and came out with some other goodies, as per usual.

I picked up Benefit's 'erase paste' because Jen tried it recently and loves it. It's a concentrated, creamy concealer that brightens and hides the bad. I'll say it again, the Nars tinted moisturizer is FAB. I wish it gave a tiny bit more coverage but that's what concealer is for. I have never bought any mascara besides cheap drugstore brands, so I decided to get a 'fancy' one for a change. One of Murale's top sellers is Benefit's 'they're real!'. Can't wait to give this a try. And for ages I have wanted to try a foundation brush. I've seen it used and it just seems to get foundation in all the nooks and crannies effortlessly. Apparently this Shiseido one is a bit less expensive than most, and works wonders. FUN!!!
(And on a side note, I nearly died of embarrassment when I tried to pay for all this. The chip in my bank card seems to have decided to call it quits, then I try to pay with a Visa only to realize it's maxed until my payment goes through in a few days, then I try my other Visa that I never use but I never set the PIN on it, so then I reach for my only other card, my business account bank card, and thankfully that worked. OMFG!)

I loooove the Nars tinted moisturizer too!!

I have used some of the 'fancy' mascaras before (namely Mac) and I still prefer the Maybelline one in the tube that is green and pink. Although I got eyelash extensions and WOW what a difference!

i typically buy that Maybelline mascara too cause it's always voted the best on the planet. if this one doesn't measure up I'm back to that one.
eyelash extensions - COOL!!!

they're really fantastic!!! no mascara needed! an old coworker of mine is a lash technician and is mobile so she goes to your house to do them. i have next to no eyelashes and now it feels like i have to wear no eye makeup just because i have eyelashes now. never thought this would happen!

You need to try Dior mascara one day.

yes, as you have raved about it often. i tried this benefit one this morning - I like it! I'm so used to using old clumpy Maybelline ones that anything will be a massive step up.

when did you get them? i swear i noticed you had fab lashes in one of your recent IG pics with my little buddy

I like that mascara. I also really like Tarte's lights camera lashes. And I always have a tube of Maybelline in the orange tube.

I've heard good things about the erase paste - I might have to get it. Would love to see a before/after post about it!

Love this mascara - I usually use mac but got a sample of the benefit one and ended up buying it duty free ($45 NZD here!) My friend actually thought I had false lashes! Wanna try that erase paste too :) But might wait till I can get it duty free
Still loving your blogs!

i don't know if the erase paste would be that obvious in photos for before/after shots but i might give it a shot. i wanted to get more pics of my new and improved forehead anyway. (i'm still baffled by the difference)
i've never heard of tarte.

That's almost $40 CDN. JEEZUS. i think it was $29 and I thought that was a fortune for mascara.
Thanks!
