like a kid in a candy store

Drag me to a Sephora or Murale store and I cannot ever leave empty handed. The beautiful colours, the cool packaging...it gets me every time. As I mentioned in a post last week, my twin sister and I headed to Murale one lunch hour so she could pick up some foundation, and I needed a new sheer powder. It's only in the past couple of years that I've been using a powder all over my face because I always found they dried out my skin too much. I don't know if it's my skin changing as I get older or what, but Clinique's stay-matte sheer pressed powder (oil-free!) works wonders. It looks fabulous on and does not dry me out.

It turns out Cargo has recently revamped their packaging and come out with lots of beautiful colours so I was totally drooling in that section and ended up buying a couple of things. No twisting of my arm required.

I had a hard time getting this photo to show the blush in the right colour. I currently use a couple of NARS blushes that are pretty light pink so I was looking for something a little deeper and more suitable for fall/winter. This one is so pretty (and alot deeper than the stupid photo), called Mendocino. I used it this morning and love it. Only takes a little bit and it goes a long way. Love the cute metal tin!

I had planned on staying away from buying eye shadows and focusing more on fun lip colours but I saw this eye shadow and had to have it. Again, after fussing with this photo in photoshop it's still not quite right - it's called Shanghai, a sort of purple. I googled it and someone described it as a mocha and lavendar shimmer. It's fantastic, and really changes shades the more you apply. I can't wait to try it.
