disappointed

A few weeks ago I did a post on some great stuff I found at ASOS. I couldn't get my mind off of the doctors bag, so I went ahead and ordered it. It arrived on Friday, with a lovely $49 COD charge. So much for a great deal with free shipping. The bag ended up costing me just under $200. Overall, I like the look of the bag, but there are some issues with it that have me totally pissed. First off, the shoulder strap attaches to the bag in such a way that you cannot open it while wearing it. Why the hell would they do that? It makes no sense. The screws that hold the hinge opening together fell off as soon as I opened the bag. Sucks, but I fixed it. The description says there is a "zip around pocket to the front"....bullshit. There sure is a zipper but it was stitched shut, so I cut the stitching and it's a faux pocket. I'm bummed about it cause I planned on storing all of Gia's diaper crap in there. Also, the snap tab on the top will not stay shut. I would totally have returned it but there's no point since I'd be out the COD and the shipping costs to get it there. So I took the shoulder strap off and have used it the last few days and like it well enough.

the sweater looks better on you. like the bushy hair. ya, that bag sounds like a waste of money.

i ordered 5 Topshop pieces from The Bay yesterday. at least it's free shipping and if they all turn out to be crap i can go to a Bay store and return them.

Isn't that bag a pain; I buy almost everything on line and it usually is great, but there can be real pissers.

Love what your hair does in the humidity; you look great.

I would absolutely get in touch with ASOS. They have a customer care section that says if you're charged customs you can get a refund of this amount...not to mention the issue with the screws and the shoulder strap deception. DO IT! :)
If you don't, I will send them a note for you. Ha.
Despite this let down, you and the bag look great together.

I emailed them shortly after this post...first lady said too bad, second one replied that she'd refund me 10% because of defects. Their policy states that defected items will be replaced immediately so i'm waiting to hear back on that. As for customs, they won't do anything.
